In February 2025, we held another Pelvic Floor Awareness workshop. I encourage as many people as possible to attend these workshops to gain valuable insights and knowledge about their bodies.

This session saw a mix of returning participants and new attendees, many of whom experienced back pain, hip pain, or pelvic floor issues. Throughout the workshop, participants frequently expressed their surprise, saying things like, “I never knew that,” and “I’ve been to chiropractors, osteopaths, and physios, but none of them explained the details as clearly.”

It’s essential to spread the word about Pelvic Floor Health, as it is crucial for our overall well-being. Even gentle approaches can yield significant benefits.

Pelvic Floor Workshops

In 2024, I facilitated several Pelvic Floor Awareness workshops at Bollington Yoga Studios in Bollington. These sessions covered a wide range of topics to help attendees develop a deeper awareness of their bodies and understand how subtle, gentle movements can be beneficial.

Participants learned general exercises that they could incorporate into their own routines or adapt for use in classes, encouraging a new approach to their exercise regimen.

The workshops were highly successful and enjoyable for all involved.

A workshop aimed at educating on the importance of self-awareness in relation to the Pelvic Floor and Pelvis. This workshop will give some tools with a format of exercises and breathing techniques to help with self practice to support the many changes women face through our aging process. The Pelvic Floor is responsible for supporting the bladder, bowel and uterus, with practice you can improve your wellbeing and mental health.

My Pilates Framework Workshop yesterday at Mother Nature Sanctuary in Bollington was a great success.   Thank you to all those who attended I really enjoyed the session.  It was a great way to introduce or re-engage with the many benefits that Pilates has to offer to help increase flexibility, enhance body movement, improve balance, relieve tension and much more.

Please get in touch if I can help you in any way.

Best Wishes Claire.

A Pilates workshop focusing on posture suitable for all ages and abilities.  We will look at several exercises that can support your daily life improving your alignment and posture.  Years of faulty alignment takes work to rectify as the muscles need to be guided and re-educated.  Awakening our bodies and improving self awareness not just through exercise will support daily life which will open your proprioception for bigger changes.

During the 2-hour workshop you will be provided with guidance to support:

  • An understanding of releasing tension

We all need reminding of how to be more in contact with our body awareness and this will give you a window into improving your skills.

Many years ago my sister Madge introduced me to Peter Bloch an Alexander Technique teacher who lives and runs a practice in Wilmslow.  We are exceptionally lucky to have such a highly skilled  teacher here in Cheshire, he also runs a training school for those who wish to qualify in the Alexander Technique.

I have huge appreciation and praise for his skills, knowledge  and sensitivity I highly recommend the experience of a 1-2-1 session with him. The Alexander Technique is an effective way to improve your health, posture and performance.

I would like to introduce to you a very close friend of mine Sheila Ryan, who I  met when I first moved to Macclesfield.  I attended a local Buddhist group and Sheila Ryan was one of the facilitators. Since then we have become close friends.  Her support and wisdom surrounds and wraps me at times.  She is a Mindfulness facilitator and is constantly growing and developing her practice in Buddhism, she supports local businesses and individuals in their practices.

In these difficult and uncertain times it is very normal to experience strong emotions and thoughts. Perspective taken through mindfulness practice can be a great source of comfort and nourishment.   Visits her website  for a selection of online mediation sessions which are led by qualified instructors and are freely available to support you (some are offered ‘live’ and others are available as recordings.) There is no obligation to speak, contribute or identify yourself
